Brand Dna: At ESCVDO, every piece comes from patience, crafted by hands that know ‘timeless’ cannot be hurried. It is nurtured with dedication, spirit, and history. Each thread represents more than just material. It helps weave a bridge between cultures and people. It carries a piece of legacy transformed into art. A living memory that transcends, growing and multiplying through time. As Peruvians, we are part of a country with a vast textile heritage. We believe in respecting traditions and creating with intention, honoring both what remains and what is passed down. Making each garment a legacy for future generations. ESCVDO seeks a growth that is communal. Beneficial to the people wearing the clothes, and also to those who are part of our production chain. Sourcing our materials locally. Making sure our way of working creates a significant and valuable impact, especially those among the most vulnerable. Responsibility and Innovation are our core pillars and we aim to create and explore new possibilities of design at every level. We believe in transparency, fair trade and care for one another and for the planet.

Local Communities: ESCVDO started 12 years ago, with 16 families of artisans. Today we work with over 350 artisans and their families in eight regions in Peru. 95% of them are women. Alongside Knitting Hope, we provide economic independence and empower women in vulnerable situations in rural areas of Huaraz. More than 100 weavers and their families have experienced economic growth, reduction of domestic violence, and increase in educational opportunities for their children. Our handwoven fabrics are developed with artisans in Huancavelica, in the Peruvian Andes. We have a close relationship with artisan Pedro Quincho and his team of weavers, continuously researching and testing new techniques, brought together by a passion for textiles. With Kuyapa Foundation, we give people from the Amazon region access to education and medicine. Their rich weaving tradition and use of organic materials is an essential part of ESCVDO’s identity. Our partners also include: Manos Monas (Cusco, La Libertad and Lima), Olivia Ramos (Huancayo), Delicia Vargas and Vilma Bautista’s workshops (Lima), among others.

Brand Responsability: We employ skilled artisans in sourcing materials and creating one-of-a-kind, handmade pieces, contributing to the local economies and financially supporting age-old traditions. As part of our commitment with SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, we provide training that allows people to access new employability possibilities, creating jobs that include a fair wage, decent conditions and personal and emotional well-being. We strive to be a platform for artisans to develop and preserve local techniques via business ventures and micro-enterprises. Other SDGs that guide our work are 1: Ending Poverty, 5: Gender Equality, 12: Responsible Production and Consumption, 13: Climate Action and 17: Partnerships for the Goals. We believe in generating comprehensive sustainability with total traceability. We work with organic Pima cotton from the coastal region of Pisco, Peru, that adheres to the highest fair-trade standards. All the alpaca wool in our production is sourced from the Peruvian Andes, where we partner with local communities. As a Responsible Brand, we aim to maintain an ethical supply chain and work for people and the planet.
